The going at Ascot is Good to Firm.

Ascot’s Clerk of the Course, Chris Stickels, said: “The ground was riding fast today, and obviously we had a very drying day because of the breeze. Evapotranspiration will be over 4.5mm by the end of the day, maybe even 5mm.

“Tonight, we are going to be putting 7mm on the straight course and 5mm on the round. Tomorrow is due to be cooler, about 24-25 degrees.”
